"Translated by Scottish born Australian artist Ian Fairweather from the well known Chinese novel 'The Drunken Buddha' based on the life of a Buddist Saint Tao-Chi.  This saint lived in the 13th century A.D. His eccentric approach to religious teaching made him a popular and respected sage. The drunken buddha translation was published in 1965 by Queensland University press. Since reading this book I have produced several sketched and studies over ensuing years"- Thomas Gleghorn
