Collection: Khatija Possum
Khatija Possum comes from a family of painters and is the daughter of Michelle Possum Nungurrayi and Heath Ramzan Tjangala. Her grandfather was the renowned Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, who was one of the pioneers of the contemporary indigenous art movement. Khatija is the third generation of painters in her family, and her mother Michelle was trained in painting by Clifford, and continues to paint in his traditional style, incorporating women's ceremonial stories and other women's dreamings, with a bolder use of color.
